Hi, we own a condo in florida and have bi-weekly rentals. I need to allow the renters to adjust the thermostat but i want to set a range to control costs. if i understand the online help correctly all i can do is set to EITHER heat or cool and set ranges within those areas but that would require me to change between heat and cool. or if i try to use heat + cool and they want to open the windows for the ocean air, i risk the heat coming on unnecessarily. what i want to do is set a range for heat and a range for cool, let the renter change between heat, cool and off but not allow them to go above or below the ranges i set. how do i do that ? or can i even do that?

Hi flacondoowner,
Thanks for reaching out here in the Google Nest Community and we're sorry for the delay.
You can set a temperature range for your guests and not other settings or beyond those ranges by setting a PIN or lock your thermostat. This feature is available to Nest Thermostat E and Nest Learning Thermostat and not with the new Nest Thermostat. We'll take this as feedback to create more helpful devices for our home.
Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts here in the community.
I hope it helps.
Best,
Ryan
