I am starting a new job that has a two week rotating schedule....two days on, followed by two days off then three days on followed by three days off.....repeat.
How to manually create a schedule on my thermostat to accommodate that schedule?

Check out the Nest Power Connector. It runs the Nest thermostat through two wires e.g. W and R in a heating only configuration

I am not sure how the Nest Power Connector plays in here. Reply in the wrong place? Something creative in mind? I am curious if it could provide a solution! (:

Hmmm. Interesting challenge. I'm not sure if you can create a schedule like that. That does not mean it is not possible! Maybe someone else knows.
However you might be able to take a different approach. Set a schedule all week every day that would be for days you are home - essentially all 7 days in the week the same. Then utilize Home/Away to detect when you are away which can put the thermostat into eco mode. In eco mode the thermostat can be lowered to something like 56 degrees for when you are away.
Might work!
