Hi regisc,

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

I’m sorry to hear that your thermostat has a +0.6°C offset compared to a calibrated thermostat. Thanks for asking if it is possible to have a compensation option on the Google Home app that you are using on your Android mobile device. No worries, help is here.

Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:

  • Could you please let me know in which country you are located?
  • Could you please provide me with more details on what you are experiencing with your thermostat?
  • Could you please confirm the model of your thermostat?
  • When did the issue start?
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?
What is the brand/model of the HVAC/heat pump?
  • Is the problem continuous or under specific circumstances?
  • Any recent changes to the HVAC system?
  • Have there been any recent power outages or power issues?
  • Do you have a room thermometer?
  • Is your Nest Thermostat in direct sunlight?

Besides this information, please send me the following photos to better assist you:

  1. A photo of the HVAC/heat pump.
  2. A photograph showing the thermometer next to the Nest thermostat. Both the thermometer and thermostat screens should be visible in the photo and show the difference in each other’s readouts.

In the meantime, please check if your thermostat is near:

  • Air vents that direct warm air
  • Appliances (that includes large televisions)
  • Electrical outlets
  • Plumbing (hot water pipes in old buildings are frequently not insulated)
  • Warm air in the wall
  • Other potential heat sources

Thanks for your kind attention; I will be looking forward to your answer.

Best regards,

Virna
