Hi All,
I currently have a two stage heat pump with aux heat as well as a hydronic condensing boiler that only heats baseboards, no coil in air handler. the electric heat strip is set for aux and the boiler is set for emergency heat. currently wired as, Y1- Heat/Cool, G-fan, OB- Heat pump, RC- power, W1-alt. Heat, C- 24V common, *alt. stage/ emergency heat. The issue i am having is the air handler turns on when the emergency heat setting (boiler) is turn on. I am not sure if the thermostat is wired incorrectly or something else. Also i noticed when i switch the thermostat to emergency heat mode the room temperature jumps up about 5 degrees automatically. why would this be? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

Thanks for bringing this up. I understand they can be confusing, but no worries, we'll check this out.
We might need to update your settings or do a setup again to make sure everything is aligned, but before that, please answer the following:
