Hi, we've inherited a gen 1 nest thermostat (with mains powered back plate) and we're struggling to get the heating to turn on by schedule.
We have a new boiler and the engineer connected the heat link to it, we reset everything back to factory and set it up on our account.
Everything seems to work fine except the schedule very rarely turns the heating on as it should.
The heating is set to on, learning is disabled, home/away assist is disabled.
We currently adjust the heating temperature by turning the dial on the thermostat and I'm wondering if this is overriding the schedule? sometimes on the thermostat is says 20°C until XX time or sometimes it says 20°C through the night.
The schedule has worked once or twice which is why I think it's something we're doing with the thermostat that's overriding it.
Any suggestions what I might be doing wrong?
Thanks

Hi @Nath7654,
Thank you for reaching out to the Google Nest Community. I'm sorry to hear you're struggling to get the heating to turn on by Schedule on your Nest Learning Thermostat 1st gen on your new boiler, I appreciate your effort performing steps. I'm glad to help you get this resolved.
Please consider that adjusting the ring or dial creates a temporary override, causing the thermostat to ignore the pre-set Schedule and maintain the manually selected temperature until the next Scheduled event or until the hold is cancelled.
To determine the most effective troubleshooting plan, could you please answer the following questions:
I look forward to your response so we can resolve this.
