Google nest are a joke
I am a heating engineer, I installed a nest smart thermostat back in oct 2019, was working fine until 2 weeks ago, the heat link has failed, I have 240V in, but nothing else, all lights are dead, I managed to contact by phone a support team, they said it was out of warranty, but offered me a free replacement heatlink as long as it was installed by company called Boxt, I told them that I was fully capable of installing my own heatlink as I have done several over the last few years, they said that I couldn't have one free but a replacement could be sent but a charge of £40.00 but I would have to wait until the returns department raised the issue and would be contacting me within 4-5 working days, its now been 10 working days, and I cant seem to get to the right contact
anyone else had issues?
maybe as an installer I should look at other manufactures and brands
