nest n260 message

I installed two nests one in the hall and one in the living room. I had to add power connectors to each of them. Both worked fine for 4 months. The nest in the Hallway is now saying it has a n260 message which means it does not have power and needs a c wire. I installed the power connector because I did not have a c wire which was recommended. $24 buck for a power connecter and it's not working ? I have no idea when it's just stopped working on this particular nest. The other one is fine for now. Ideas?

Hey rcder41,

Sorry to hear about this but thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community.

Do you still need help with this? If yes, were there changes made on the setup of this Nest thermostat in question before this code started appearing on it's display? Also, could you try updating the wiring info in the app? I've listed the steps below:

Home app

  1. Open the Home app > tap your thermostat’s icon.
  2. In the top right, tap Settings  > Thermostat > Wiring > Update wiring.
  3. Update any incorrect wiring information.

Nest app

  1. Open the Nest app > tap Settings.
  2. Tap Thermostat > Wiring > Update wiring.
  3. Update any incorrect wiring information if there is.

Keep me posted.

Best,

Melba
