I have 3 thermostats. One of them several times a day is showing offline, then goes back on line. What can be causing this and is there a fix. My 3 units are roughly 7 years old.

No C wire is usually the reason for it dropping off the wifi because it doesn't get good steady power from the wires.
Then the battery gets low and it goes offline.

All my 3 thermostats are hard wired. The one having issues is roughly 10 years old. But, still works fine otherwise

Probably the batteries are failing in all of them. I'm not familiar with the old Nest models. Look up how to test the battery voltage in the menu and if below 3 volts they are probably done. I think they are sealed inside and not easy to replace on all the models other than the Nest mirror glass.
This shows how the voltages should normally be on the newer 3rd gen.

The voltage is 3.9 in all 3 thermostats. It would be nice if they had a phone number to talk with customer service.

Thank you for your input. Do you have a phone number to speak to a nest teck? The crazy thing is this thermostat is the closest to my router
