water not being heated by schedule

Water is only being heated when the boost option is chosen or when the central heating is on at the same time as the hot water schedule.

A heating engineer has checked the other parts of the system and has found no faults. He therefore believes  it is a problem with the nest thermostat.

What should I do?

Why have you advised that action when I stated in my original post that a heating engineer has already checked the other components of the system? Why?

Thank you for posting. I understand an engineer already checked your system; I provided a link with steps to check the settings on the Nest app.

Did you try the above steps? There are a series of options to check about the schedule of the thermostat.
