Hi,
Ive just installed a Nest mesh using a router and a point.
As I need 4 ethernet ports on my TV side for TV and sound bar and... (which need cable connectivity for better connection and also old wifi modules); I plan to add a 3rd party wifi bridge with ethernet ports to the nest mesh.
The 3rd party device (a linksys 3200 acm) is connected through wireless to the mesh as a client and it is configured as a wireless bridge because its far away from the nest router and can not be connected to the nest router over the lan.
If any one have tried this before, can you check all the clients on the google home app clients list?
Any issues or performance degrades?
Can I also setup the 3rd party device with the same wifi ssid to use it as a repeater?
Thanks 😊

Hi Alexio,
Thanks for reaching out. This setup could work but we don't recommend this as this may cause WiFi congestion. I would suggest using a switch. You could click on this link to learn more about this.
Thanks,
Edward

Hello Esward
Thanks for the reply,
As I have just 1 nest wifi and 1 wifi point in the setup, that was the only way.
right now the setup is working but I have ordered one more nest wifi and will add one switch to that one as well.
Many thanks.

Hey, everyone.
It looks like we've slowed down here again. We'll be closing up the thread unless anyone else has any input or needs anything else. If so, just let me know and we can keep this open a bit longer.
