Can't create wifi network

I am trying to setup the Nest mesh wifi router I purchased tonight but I am getting error "Something went wrong" "Looks like we lost contact with your Wifi point, Please ensure that WI-Fi and Bluetooth are still enabled, and try setup again" My wifi works with my old Netgear wifi when I set it back up.

Do you happen to use a VPN on your Android phone used for the setup process? Like NordVPN or DuckDuckGo App Tracking Protection? Then turn it off.

Else, try from a different iOS or Android device.

I don't work for Google.

My Pixel 6 has NortclientVPN which is turned off.  I attempted to create the network again in the morning. I was disappointed to discover that if I accepted the features of Google Home the network was immediately created.  I do not wish to have Google Home listening in my home.  I just want to use the Nest Mesh Wi-Fi.

Hi MrcBchmn,

We definitely understand where you're coming from. To clarify, do you have the Nest Wifi router or Nest Wifi point? How many routers and points did you set up?

Best,
Abi
