Hello all,
Recently moved and brought my Nest Wifi routers with me (had a router and access point set up in our previous home). The carrier modem is in the basement where the fiber optic cable is. I connected my previous nest router to it and no issues... same with the single access point I already had set up... automatically connected to the old network and works fine. I am not able to connect any additional access points. I continue to get the error message "connection failed". I have very poor cell reception in the house and even worse downstairs where the modem is. I tried connected the access point via hardwire to the nest router and setting up there but it times out and gives me the same error. I am afraid that if I factory reset I will lose the existing mesh network and will not be able to reconnect anything. Please help. Thanks!!

Hi vgandhi830,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I am sorry that you are having issues with your Google Nest Wifi points. But no need to worry, help is here.
Before we get started with further details, let me ask you some important questions:
It's frustrating when you're unable to connect additional access points (mesh network) to your Nest Wifi system. Let's explore potential solutions in the meantime:
Please check the following articles to Fix your Google Nest Wifi or Google Wifi network, to Test mesh connection or to Restart Nest Wifi or Google Wifi devices.
Please keep me posted.
