When Google Fiber cancelled the tv portion of the service, our service was upgraded. We have new equipment on all tvs

Alright. What exact make and model is the printer? Does its' specification say it will work with Nest Wifi?

In short: 2.4ghz and 5ghz combined in a single SSID. WPA2 and otpionally WPA3. Wifi 5, A.K.A. 802.11ac.

HP MFP 125nw.

It worked with Google Fiber before they cancelled the tv channels and installed new equipment.

Hi, shariw.

When you mention new equipment, did you get a new modem? Did you change any network settings on your WiFi router, such as the name or password or security settings?

Thanks.

Yes, all equipment, modem, router, remotes, is new and we had to change our network name and password.

Thanks for the info, shariw.

Is it possible that your printer is looking for the old network ID and password? Have you reset the network information in the printer itself?

No. This printer isn’t that advanced. It asks to search for the WIP router, which Google is not, and can’t connect

Hey, shariw.

It looks as far as a direct connection goes, there might just be an outright incompatibility issue going on. I would look into 3rd party services to facilitate network printing, but it looks like direct printing via WiFi is not going to work with this particular printer.

Thanks.

I know it can connect as it used to be connected, but I can’t figure it out. Thx

Well, let's keep looking at it, shariw.
Do you recall if it was directly connected to the WiFi network, or was it through a print service plugin?

Hey, shariw.

Did you happen to see my last reply and do you have that info on how you were printing before?

Thanks.
