I bought a box with 3 nest devices. The first device is setup and works perfect as wifi hubspot. I am trying to add the 2nd device and get following error:
errors resolving google home foyer-pa.googleapis.com:443:[field:hostnames lookuperror:address lookup failed for google home foyer-pa.googleapis.com.:errorCode:-65568]
i have:
- tried restarting google home app
- tried different mobile devices with the google home app
- moved the 2 nest close to the 1 nest device so it has perfect signal
But the error persists.
any ideas about what may be causing this and how i can solve? Thanks in advance 😊

Hi Juan,
Thanks a lot for your reply. I did some further research and found that it was 1 specific unit of the 3 i got in the packages which had the issue. I found out how to factory reset it using the "hidden" button (under the bottom of the unit with a small circle in the rubber padding, pressing for 12 seconds) and this seemed to do the trick. Posting the solution here hoping others may benefit from it. Not sure why this was needed for a brand new unit but it solved the issue so no need for further support 🙂 Thanks
