Hi @J9SEPHDEVARAJ,

Thanks for the post. I understand you need help with your new WiFi setup, and I'm here to assist.

To help us narrow down the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • Are you trying to set up a Nest WiFi router?
  • Are you trying to connect other Nest devices to a new WiFi network? If so, could you please let me know which specific devices you are trying to connect?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Gabriela

Hi Gabriela, I got a new WiFi and having trouble connecting. Nest doesn’t recognize the new WiFi in order to put in the new password. Do I need to start from scratch with the factory settings ? I’m really looking for an easier solution. My cell phone recognized the new WiFi, added password and hooked up immediately. Do you know of an easy solution. Thanks, jim

Hi @James7557,

Thank you for the quick reply. I understand you would like to connect your Nest WiFi to a new network without performing a factory reset. I am happy to provide more details on that process.

Please follow these steps to refresh your network connection:

  • Disconnect power from both your modem and your Google Nest WiFi device.
  • Wait until all lights turn off to ensure the devices have fully powered down.
  • Check your connections: While the devices are off, ensure the Ethernet cable connecting the modem to the Nest WiFi router is secure.
  • Reconnect power to your modem only. Wait about 2 minutes for it to fully boot up and for the indicator lights to stabilize.
  • Reconnect power to your Google Nest WiFi router. Wait about 1 minute for it to turn on.
  • Test the connection: Close and reopen the Google Home app to confirm the device is working properly.

Kindly update us on whether these steps were successful.

Regards,

Gabriela
