Connecting Google Nest hub to Dish Anywhere

GC1

Have tried, unsuccessfully, to connect Dish Anywhere to our new Google Nest Hub (gen 2). It says there is no wi-fi but when I check the Home app and wi-fi under settings, our wi-fi provider is listed and on. The assistent says also that if you hear my voice, I'm connected to the internet.

Hi GC1,

Thanks for visiting the Community.
Since this thread hasn't had activity in a while, we're going to close it to keep content fresh.
We hope you were able to get the help you need but if you're still having trouble, give these steps a try:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. At the top right, tap Account (the icon with the first letter of your name or your profile picture).
  3. Make sure your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as the Google Nest or Home device.
  4. Tap Assistant Settings > Home Control.
  5. Tap the search box, then type Dish. Select the result and follow the on-screen instructions.
    1. At this point the customer needs to follow the steps from their Dish set-top box.
      1. On the remote control, press Settings.
      2. Find Google Assistant.
      3. Select Get Code.
    2. Go back to your mobile device.
  6. Enter the code that's presented on the screen and select Activate.
  7. On the next page, the receivers are shown to the customer. Add the receivers to their respective rooms in the app. This step allows you to specify where you want commands to be sent.

Note: If your customer finds more than one Dish set-top box on their account, use the receiver ID to determine which receiver goes in which room.

If the issue persists, feel free to submit another post and provide as many details as possible so that others can lend a hand. Hope this helps!

Kind regards,
Alex
