Hopefully this is not a silly question. I have dual paths between my Google router and remote Google Points in the house. I run fibre between my shed (where Google router lives) and the house. But I am seeing MAC address flapping as sometimes MAC addresses are seen via fibre connection and sometimes via Google wifi.. Within Google, how can I prevent the router from learning MAC addresses via wifi, or at least lower priority on wifi over cable? Additional info, shed and house both run Cisco switches, single AP/router in shed (Starlink internet), hosue has 4 other older style Google Points (one is Nest).
TIA

I also checked the other side of this with cisco. Low and behold, it was a Cisco STP (Spanning Tree) issue.
I turned Spanning tree of on the VLANs required and MAC Flapping stoped and my dual path issue is now resolved. For those looking, the command is
conf t
no spanning-tree vlan xxx
I did this both sides of my fibre trunk, remote side first (which is my layer 3) and then did my local switch, otherwise, you will loose connectivity to the remote switch.
Hope this helps someone else.

Hello @Simmo181,
Thanks for bringing this concern to our attention and posting it in the community.
I understand you have some questions about experiencing MAC address flapping between your Google router and Google Points. This likely occurs due to dual paths in your network and can cause instability and connectivity issues.
Let's try the following solutions:
Disable Wi-Fi on Google Points (if applicable): If you don't use your Google Points' Wi-Fi functionality, consider disabling it. This prevents the router from learning MAC addresses through Wi-Fi.
Note: Disabling Wi-Fi might limit your network's reach.
Let me know how this goes, and we'll work together to find a resolution.
Thanks,
Catheryn.
