Every time my son logs in to his windows 10 desktop a new name is listed under my google wifi devices, how do i get rid of this behavior and how do i delete the duplicate names? (factory reset is not an acceptable solution since i have so many devices connected)
this issue seems to only happen on windows desktop, no other devices have this issue.
thank you
I am using Nest Wife model H2D software version 13729.57.27

Hello @newbie75
It sounds like that machine has random hardware addresses enabled. Here's a Microsoft support page that describes how to turn that on, but you should be able to follow these instructions to turn it off either just for your home network, or for all networks: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/how-to-use-random-hardware-addresses-in-windows-ac58de34...
Eventually, the duplicate entries in Google Home will disappear. But, once you adjust the settings on that Windows machine, at least there should only be a single active entry and the old ones should end up at the bottom of the list before they age out over time.

Hey, newbie75.
I just wanted to follow up real fast as it's been a while on this one. Right now there's no way to manually edit the device list, but it's a suggestion I can pass along to our internal teams. If there's anything else I can do for you here, please let me know.
Thanks.
