Family Wifi - Is there any way to allow more time?

I have set up a group, called Bedtime.

It has all the devices my children use in the group.

It is set to start at 7:30pm and goes through till the morning., "all week".

At 7:30 the wifi stops serving. Great!

But there are some times where I want to allow the internet to work again on those devices JUST THIS ONCE.

When I tap "UNPAUSE" it tells me "One of more schedules are active, please update the schedule(s) directly". Which to me is highly UNintuitive - I expect a pause/play type button like youtube that makes it stop and go. Pressing a button and telling me to go elsewhere to perform the action written on that button is dumb.

Which means I have to change the schedule to allow the time, and then remember to change it back again tomorrow.

If I tap on the three dots next to the schedule, the options are:

  1. End now - which turns off the schedule and I have to remember to turn it back on again.
  2. Disable - which turns off the schedule and I have to remember to turn it back on again.

Wait a moment, I just typed the same thing twice.

Didn't there used be an option to pause for 30 minutes? When/Why was that removed?

Hey frumbert,

You bring up a really good point about adding an option for temporary pauses. I'm going to go ahead and pass that suggestion along to our internal teams in the form of a feature request. I can definitely see how that would be useful, and I have actually thought of doing the same with my own kids when I want to give them bonus time online during the weekends or holidays. It's a great idea. You can also leave feedback yourself in the Google Home app if you would like. Other than passing your comments to our team, is there anything else I can do for you at this time?

Thanks,
Jeff
