Google Home Wifi not filtering adult content with safesearch on

I have noticed that Google Wifi is no longer filtering adult content when safe search is activated across all devices on my home network. I have reset my wifi network, I set up entirely new wifi groups in Google Home, set up new schedules, rebooted my devices, and even logged into my Google account and set Safesearch to “filter”. And adult content is still readily available.  

What the heck is going on?
