I have a Google Nest WiFi Generation 2 system. I connected my Desktop computer to the Ethernet port on the Nest router and the upload speed is extremely slow. I have a 1 Gig cable modem.
Over this ethernet connection, I'm getting 900MBps download speed, but only about 3 Mbps upload speed. Download speed is as expected, upload speed is not.
When I connect the same computer to the Google Nest Wifi, I get 450Mbps download speed, and 40 Mbps upload speed. Both are as expected.
The upload speed on WiFi is 10 times as fast as Ethernet upload speed.
I've swapped out the ethernet cable with no change. Everything checks out good on the ethernet interface in the computer, so the only possibility is with the ethernet interface hardward in the Nest access point.
Why would the Nest access point slow down ethernet upload from the computer?
