Google Nest Router not requesting password when connecting device to the network

I’m having the exact same issue as this previous post which didn’t have a resolve… 
 
 
When connecting a device to the new nest network, no devices are requesting the password (which is different from the modem/router password it’s connected to) Is this because it’s using the original modem?
