I currently have an Xfinity Router but it provides an unstable signal sometimes, especially when I am trying to download large documents. If I purchase the Google Nest WiFi AC2200, do I need to buy just the point or should I get the router and point? I want a stronger, more reliable signal.

Hi @Linda252,
Thanks for posting in the community. I understand you're experiencing an unstable signal with your current Xfinity router, which can be particularly disruptive when you're trying to download large documents. Improving your Wi-Fi for a stronger and more reliable connection is definitely a great goal, and Google Nest Wifi is designed to help with that.
The ideal setup depends on several factors, including the size and construction of your home and even how much Wi-Fi congestion there is in your neighborhood.
Here’s a general guide to help you estimate how many Nest Wifi devices you might need:
Nest Wifi coverage (Wi-Fi 5)
When you set up the Nest Wifi router, you'll typically connect it to your existing Xfinity modem. You can then choose to put your Xfinity router into "bridge mode" (if available) to avoid potential double NAT issues or use your Nest Wifi router as the primary Wi-Fi source while the Xfinity device acts as just a modem.
Regards,
Kevin
