Google Nest Wifi - Weak connection on PC but not on IPAD

All my other devices have "ok" connection to google wifi but my PC always seems to have a "weak" connection. I have a relatively new PC. So why the difference? How do I fix my PC connection?

Could be the PC itself.  I have a similar situation, and it's the PC.  Windows 11 specifically does not like the WiFi card Lenovo installed in my desktop and it just gets brutal speeds, compared to my 11 year old iMac (running chromeos flex) right beside it.

Look for updates drivers for your computers wireless if possible, that may solve it.

Hi ShimonLondon,

We’re sorry to hear about the weak Wi-Fi connection on your PC; however, we need to isolate further to know what the correct steps are, especially since the issue is only happening on your PC. A few questions:

  1. Are you experiencing any packet loss or slow speed and drop of connection on all your other devices?
  2. Are you using a modem/router combo from your Internet Service Provider (ISP)?
  3. Which Google/Nest router are we working with?
  4. Is your PC connected hardwired or wireless?

You can do a sequential reboot of your entire network and see if that helps, or please perform a 2-minute power cycle on your entire network to re-establish the connection on your connected devices. Here's how:

  1. Disconnect the power from the modem.
  2. Disconnect the Ethernet cable and power cord from the parent point.
  3. Disconnect the power cord from the child points.
  4. Leave everything unplugged for 2 minutes.
  5. Connect the power cord to the modem then to your router and points.

The steps above are for troubleshooting normal issues, and if the issue is confirmed to only be happening on your PC, then I would recommend that you reach out to a computer specialist that has knowledge of its settings and features.

Thanks for helping, Ashepherdson.

Best,

Dan
