Cannot change WAN connection settings

I cannot change the WAN connection settings on my google nest WiFi router. I followed the workaround posted in a now closed thread wherein I went to the setting via the point and not the WiFi network and it still did not work. It asked me to unplug the network cable and wait for pulsing red light and connect to the WiFi network but after that it is unable to be connected to as that is my one and only WiFi point. Seems like this has been an issue since July 2023 and it is definitely not resolved.

If you only have one Wifi point, and need to change WAN settings, you'll need to factory reset it and set it up again with the new details.

Scroll to the bottom of the article, select “My device isn’t available in the Google Home app”, then select the model you have to see the reset steps with the physical button on the device.

Thanks for the information. I got it working, but now I’m having another issue. When I first set up the network I was getting the full gigabit connection, over 900 Mbps up and down. Now I am only getting 90 up and down, so 1/10 the speed. I’ve tried changing cables and reordering the connections so that my AC-1304 is before and after my network switch. As well, I’ve done multiple resets and one factory reset. I would really like to get the full gigabit connection that I’m paying for, me and my housemates rely on fast connections for work, so it is fairly mission critical.

If you temporarily remove that switch from the network, does the issue persist?

Yes, it remains the same whether or not the switch is being used. It don’t think it should matter though, as it is a gigabit switch and it was working with the switch before this issue started. I reset the fiber box as well now and it doesn’t seem to have helped. Think I might try another factory reset, not sure what else to try.
