Google Nest network not working

Lisamag

We have Google Nest set up through our house. A base hardwired to my Verizon internet router and 3 other devices set up to boost the network through our house. It’s constantly not working. I tested our Verizon network and router and there are no issues. I did the recommended reset and tests, including a full mesh test, which came back that all was working, but it’s not. Our phones don’t update or get web/socials access on and off all day and my kids are having frequent trouble doing schoolwork on their laptops. It’s clear it’s a Google issue and not Verizon. It’s making us all mad and I don’t know what else to try.

Hello Lisamag,

Thank you for reaching our community.

I appreciate you taking the time to troubleshoot your Verizon network connection by testing and restarting your equipment.

If you're using a combined modem and router unit, some network settings adjustments might be necessary to optimize performance.

To diagnose any potential network congestion, consider troubleshooting your Wi-Fi security and DNS configuration. The following articles on changing your Wi-Fi password and Changing your DNS settings might help you.

I suggest using a custom DNS server, such as 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

After changing these settings, keep an eye out for any potential network improvement.

Regards,

Angel.
