Hello I have an issue with my Google Router 2200 is blinking red. I am using Optimum as my internet provider. This is the solution that was out there. "A pulsing red light means your Wifi point has a problem. We recommend you factory reset the Wifi point. If it continues to pulse red, contact Wifi customer support."
However my problem still persist. Customer services is asking me for my receipt and proof of purchase that I can provide, but it's no resolving my issue. Does anyone have suggestions or a solution regarding getting my router back online?

What happens after you factory reset your Nest Wifi router using the physical button? Does it pulse white to indicate it is ready for setup?
What IP do you get if you connect a computer to where your Nest Wifi router would be connected to, and do you get an internet connection?
What exact modem and other boxes (routers, switches) is between Nest Wifi router and the internet?

When I attempt to do a factory reset by holding down the button for about 15 secs it will restart, but will not go into factory reset mode. When I press reset button it turns white and then back to blinking red. For some apparent reason it doesn't want to reset.

Sounds like you hold the button for too long. Following guide states:
"Press and hold the factory reset button for 10 seconds. The light will flash yellow, then turn solid yellow. When the light is solid yellow, release the button."

Hey everyone,
It looks like we've slowed down here. We'll be closing up the thread in the next day unless anyone else has any input or needs anything else. If so, just let me know and we can keep this open a bit longer.
Thanks,
Jeff
