I have gigabit fibre internet (950Mbps). My Google Wi-Fi router is cabled (CAT6) directly. When I run the Google Home app speed test, it shows only around 500Mbps download and around 800Mbps upload? When I run a speed test on a laptop hardwired to the 2nd port on the Google Wi-Fi router the laptop displays gigabit speeds 987Mbps download and upload. Please help.

I’m having same exact issue. Nothing changes. Paying for gig speed but this system won’t do anything over 500Mbps hard wired or wireless.
I’m invested now and can’t return it, but this is my last Google hardware sadly. I loved my previous Google home wireless but this Nest Pro hasn’t worked properly since install.

When I have tested with a Google Wi-Fi Pro router, it achieves the full speed of around 987Mbps up and down.
Even though the older Google mesh shows 500Mbps download in the internal speed test, any laptop or PC cabled up achieves gigabit speeds.
Please can Google update the firmware for the AC-1304 please to rectify this issue?

Hi folks,
That certainly isn’t the experience we want you to have and apologies for the delay. A few questions: are you using a modem/router combo from your Internet Service Provider (ISP)? Also, do you have any paused devices?
We know that you’ve already tried other options. It would be a pleasure helping you get through this. Kindly try these steps:
You may skip any step that you’ve done already.

I fixed mine. I replaced the junk after months of poor performance and half Internet speeds. No more Google hardware on my network.
