How can I extend my Google WiFi (gen 1) to the outdoors?
What have people tried?
What works?

Is it about extending wifi/ network wirelessly to a different building? Or wifi outdoors? Either way, the short anwer is (non-Google/Nest Wifi) directional antennas for outdoor usage, connected to Google/ Nest wifi primary puck by ethernet cable.

Thank you. That has given me some ideas. I need to get a signal outdoors rather than to a different building.
As an experiment I have taken a Google 'puck' outside to the location I need access to and it connects up. So I am now going to invest in either a new Google 'puck' and seal it up in a box to make it weatherproof or try out an external repeater like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233730274800 or is there a better device? Thank you.

Hi, Robbieg.
It looks like you were able to find an answer here with olavrb's help, but I wanted to check in before marking this as resolved to be sure you had everything you needed here. If there's anything more you need, just let me know.
Thanks.
