Suddenly one of my Google Wifi points (Model Gj2CQ) stopped working - all 3 points had wired connection to a switch which was connected to the Google Wifi Router point..all were working for more than 2 year. Suddenly one wifi point went(A) offline. (Power up, but the blue light keeps blinking goes off for few mins)
Took this wifi point to an ethernet point where another wifi point(B) was working - swapped it and it worked. Brought the working one(B) to the old location(A) - didnt work. Of course the first doubt is on the Ethernet Cables - however connected laptop to the ethernet cables and checked..all worked fine.
Took this wifi point (A) to two new unused ethernet points but didnt work. When I connected it back to the port where Wifi Point(b) is working, it again worked.
Thats when I decided to do something crazy, just brought that power connector for WifiPoint B, connected that to Wifipoint A - checked in every other ethernet port location... works fine. Also reconfirmed this logic by plugging the powerconnector of WifiPoint A to WifipointB and it didnt connect.(Power up, but the blue light keeps blinking goes off for few mins)
Ordered a new Google Wifi power connector from eBay - arrived today - connected it to WifiPoint A. All working fine.
Who would have thought a power connector issue will stop establishing ethernet connections.
