Google home app says wifi is online but it’s not

I got a notification that my wifi went offline but I was still watching tv via wifi and using my wifi on my phone. The app still says wifi is offline but my wifi is working just fine and the router indicates the normal light that it is working. Closing the app and reopening doesn’t help either. I saw old forums for this 6 or so months ago and it sounded like it was a glitch in the app. Unresolved issue google??

A few questions: are you using an iOS or an android device? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling your Google Home app? How about using a different smartphone or device?
