Google nest hub cannot connect to WLAN due to two-step access procedure

Google nest hub cannot connect to WLAN due to two-step access procedure.

WLAN is officially not secured, but you need to enter a certain username and a Pin on a browser page to access.

This des not work with the procedure foreseen  in the Google Home app.

So how can this work? Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

If you have to enter a username and password on a browser page, I don't think you can connect your Nest Hub:

"Captive portal networks. Nest products do not work with captive portal networks which are common in airports, hotels, internet cafes, and coffee shops. On these networks, you must sign in on a web page, and sometimes accept terms and conditions before you can connect."

Thanks for the fast, eventhough somewhat frustrating answer. Did you ever try to come around that problem by having the administrators of the WLAN have the MAC address of the nest hub and allow it to access right away?

@Hirte99

I've never tried that; I'm just another Google Nest customer.

Nevermind, and thanks anyway. The administrators will not do it in this case , they told me in the meantime. As alternative, I either set up a cellular wlan independent from the "official" wlan or give it another, but very improbable try with an lan based router, if I can find an active wall socket somewhere.
