Google nest point as speaker only with nest router

Google nest router works well but having the point plugged in causes frequent wifi drops. I would like to use wifi point as a speaker only without mesh function with my Google nest router. There is not a clear answer to this on other posts. Thanks.

@Msp123, thanks for reaching out. The Google Nest Wifi point is an access point first and foremost. It needs to be added to the mesh system to get an option to enable the built-in Google Assistant on the device. Since you are getting WiFi dropouts, you can try changing the placement of your access point to see if it will resolve the issue.
