For years I have no issues connecting and operating my Canon Printer with Google wifi. Looks like a recent update has knocked it off the network completely. I have tried rebooting the network but no avail. Canon support did get me connected briefly but now again the printer is offline. Did something happen with a recent google wifi update?
I have the main Nest router and 3 google gen 1 pucks.
Need help!!!!

Try to update the printer firmware?
Connect it by ethernet cable?

I connected via ethernet cable and upgraded it's firmware but still it does not connect to google wifi. The google home app now shows the printer connected wired. Odd this is fine for now but it would be nice to have the same functionality as before. Oh well. It's good enough for now I guess!

I guess you can close the ticket. I ended up getting tech support from Canon. They helped create a dedicated IP address for the printer. Hopefully, things run smooth from here on.

Hey skipete90740,
Awesome — glad to hear that your issue is fixed. It looks like we can consider this one complete, so I will lock the thread shortly unless I can help out with anything else.
