Googlw home wifi

I got a new Verizon router and I cannot connect my Google home to the new wifi. When I click on a product in my Google home I get no option to connect to wifi. 

 

This shouldn't be that hard. Please help

Sorry about the issues you're having with your Google Home device. I will be happy to help you work on that to find a fix. I have a few questions to help us get started.

  • Is this a new device, or did you have it connected to your network previously?
  • When you set up the new Verizon router, did you change your network name or password?
  • Do you have any other devices that can't connect, or is this the only one?

I had my devices connect to my wifi but I got a new router (new name and router). None of my devices will work now. There is NO option to update wifi. How is this possible?

Hey mitzynslg,

 

Since you set up a new router, your devices are most likely looking for the previous network name. On your individual devices, you'll need to reset their network settings so that they look for the new router's name and password. If you are attempting to extend your network using Google or Nest WiFi points from the Verizon router, that won't work. Your primary router must be the Google or Nest WiFi router. You may use a Verizon modem, but the router needs to be part of the Google or Nest mesh system.
