I can’t add Nest Router to Google Home

Hey everyone. I am so frustrated.  My whole google mesh failed after a year of working fine. I’m using Google Nest Router, two google nest points and a google Wifi point. Have a large two level home.  Today I could  connect to my google mesh Wifi network but could not get any Internet. This was after a couple of weeks with dropouts.

I have nbn fttn and have a 250gbps service with Aussie broadband. There are no outages. I run a net gear nighthawk ax5 4200 router with nbn connected,  which then connects to Ports around the house (eg tv, Xbox, another tv upstairs etc). The google nest Wifi router plugs into my router. I then have 3 additional nest wifi points around the house upstairs and downstairs. Mainly for work and the kid to play on, and guests. The router only covers half the house due to walls etc.

Spent 2 days trying to get it working to no avail. Have reset everything. Everything that has Ethernet to net gear router (eg tv, Netflix, laptop xbox) is working fine. No issues at all.

I had to physically hard reset the google nest points as couldn’t access them through the app. I can’t re-add them. When trying to connect to google home after scanning QR code on the router  says connection failed, couldn’t connect to device. Even tried deleting and creating new google home.  Not working. Is the actual nest router stuffed? Help please!!

Hey, aaronaus.

I know it's been a while and I apologize for the late replay here and that you must be frustrated with this. I wanted to make sure I chimed in on this and checked to see if you still needed help on this or to see if you found a resolution. I would be happy to jump in and start working with you on this if needed. Just let me know.

Thanks.
