I would like to have the ability to unpause a device on wifi

I would like to have the ability to have a device paused and I unpause device for 30 minutes, 1 hour etc on my wifi. Currently it's the opposite and I can only pause a device with a single button click. Unless I use schedule which is too convoluted for the amount of times I would like to unpause different devices throughout each day.

Hi @DanielGrey!

Thanks for posting in the community.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience that you’ve experienced when trying to unpause devices after a period of time. I can see that you would like to be able to pause them for a specific period of time at any time instead of using schedules. Let’s solve this together.

To set a period of time for a device to be paused, follow these steps:

  • Open the Home app.
  • Tap Favorites, then go to Wi-Fi, and hit on Devices.
  • Tap the device you want to pause, then tap on Pause device, then select a period of time to pause and Save. To resume, tap Paused device.

Check the next articles for further information: Pause the internet on demand or on a schedule.

Tell me how it goes.

Regards,

Daniel.

Hi Guarcax thanks for this unfortunately you have misunderstood my request. I want to unpause a device that is always paused. Think of unpausing as a reward for 30 minutes, 1 hour, etc.

Hi @DanielGrey!

Thanks for your reply and for clarifying the feature requested. I can see that you would like to have a device always paused, but you want to be able to unpause it for a specific time. At this moment this feature is not available yet. However, your feedback is invaluable to us and helps us identify areas for improvement. Then here I send you the feedback form where you can put your suggestions.

If you have any other questions, you can keep posting.

Regards,
Daniel.
