I have a NETGEAR modem + router C7800. Previously I had another NETGEAR R7800 router connected under the modem's LAN, and R7800 can set IPv6 to "passthrough" mode to allow devices connected to R7800 to acquire IPv6 addresses directly from C7800.
Now I replaced R7800 with a Google Nest Wi-Fi router. However, Google Nest Wi-Fi router only has an "IPv6" switch on/off, but does not provide any advanced options to set IPv6 address mode, which makes devices connected to Google Nest Wi-Fi not able to acquire IPv6 addresses because my C7800 cannot assign a subnet prefix to it for delegation.
It would be nice if Google Nest Wi-Fi can do IPv6 passthrough.
Changing network topology or setting C7800 to modem-only is NOT an option. Thanks!

Reference: NETGEAR's user manual explanation of "IPv6 passthrough"
Set Up an IPv6 Pass Through Internet ConnectionIn pass-through mode, the router works as a Layer 2 Ethernet switch with two ports (LAN and WAN Ethernetports) for IPv6 packets. The router does not process any IPv6 header packets. To set up a pass-through IPv6 Internet connection:1. Launch a web browser from a computer or WiFi device that is connected to the network.2. Enter http://www.routerlogin.net.A login window opens.3. Enter the router user name and password. The user name is admin. The default password is password. The user name and password arecase-sensitive.The BASIC Home page displays.4. Select ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > IPv6.The IPv6 page displays.5. From the Internet Connection Type menu, select Pass Through.Specify Your Internet Settings6. Click the Apply button.Your settings are saved.
