A few months back I bought a google mesh wifi route and a few points. I was hoping to get my internet to reach areas of my house that were spotty on just my xfinity wifi. I finally hooked up the router and points to my xfinity router and put the xfinity router on bridge mode. I use a older model PS4 to run my television apps; Netflixs, Amazon, and Disney and I connected my PS4 directly via ethernet to my mesh router. While watching something on Disney, it continue to buffer.. the visuals freezed up and the audio continue. Of course when I turned off bridge mode and returned that ethernet to my xfinity router the PS4 / disney program return to working fine. Any thoughts on how I can make the mesh system work?

After bridging the modem it will change the WAN IP given to Nest Wifi, from a private / RFC 1918 IP, to a global IP.
This change often takes time to propogate, if Nest Wifi even detects it and auto adjust. It should do it though. Related doc:
Unfortunately, the best tips is to set modem in bridge mode, then factory reset your Nest Wifi network and set it up from scratch. Use the same network name (SSID) and password, and your devices should reconnect by themselves.

Thank you, thank you. I’ll give it a try. I’m not very tech savvy, so I’m going to wait till the weekend so I have more time to troubleshoot if i do it incorrectly.

Hi Edward, sorry for the delay. I waited till this past weekend to troubleshoot. It seems that the buffering is no longer happening, so that’s good news. However, when I tryed to reconnected the my two points to the network, i got an error. The points show up, and i get all the way to the noise confirmation but the last step of communicating with my iphone it gets the message below. So the points aren’t fully connected. (Btw.. I totally checked that my local network was on for the google home app.) Thinking i might need to call support. Unless you have some advice. Thanks again.
