My wifi was working fine tilllast week.
I recently moved and I'm trying to configure my Nest WiFi for my new home. I reset both the router and one point to factory settings and I'm having lots of issues with them. The main issue is that some websites start timing out and fail to load. Google websites and Facebook seem to always work regardless, but realestate.com.au or banking website for example, will not load.
If i reset the wifi network from the Home App then all websites load just fine, but a short time after the reset they will stop working again. I'm having to reset my network almost every hour.
Lastly, I was also trying to set up a Nest Hub, but it cannot reach the internet after joining the Nest wifi network. I copied content from other thread as someone else had the same issue and wasnt resolved. if I use wifi on my mobile and hotspot it to laptop.. it works.. very strange issue

Hi all,
Thank you so much, The problem is resolved - it has two solutions
1. use Guest wifi
2. Unselect IPv6 in your internet settings
its wierd becuase same laptop works fine on guest wifi of the same network with IPv6 enabled.

For the sites not loading issue, try to disable IPv6 in Google Home.
A common source for problems is double NAT; two routers with firewall, NAT, DHCP between you and the internet. What modem and other devices do you have in front of Nest Wifi?
You could also try to set a custom DNS, like Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) or Google DNS (8.8.8.8).

Thank you! nothing worked but I created a guest network and it seems to work for now. very strange solution. but there has to be some setting which is not applicable to guest wi fi. would you know whihc one?

I have no idea. Try to delete/ forget the saved network on your device, then reconnect? Or could it be parental settings mayhaps?
I escalated the thread, maybe Google reps know more.

Thank you, there are no parental controls and I checked out other threads, looks like its a very common issue with Google Nest. - I did the forget network, reset modem, reset nest router, points everything. nothing seems to work. but Guest wifi works like a charm.

Hi rahulagrawal1,
Thanks for all the troubleshooting effort you have done so far. It definitely seems like it's been a confusing situation and I'm sorry for that. I want to be clear, you're still seeing the website loading issue on the main network, but it's not happening at all on the guest network? Is this consistent across all devices that are connecting? I'll be happy to jump in and start helping out and get things fixed for you.
Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff - here is the tricky part. all other devices are working fine on main network. this issue seems to be only with laptops but they work fine on Guest Network. so there must be some internal Nest setting which is causing this issue. This issue seems to be very common on Nest. there are many threads like me but i didnt see a solution anywhere
