Hi - I have a Nest wifi router (with 2 wifi points) and my video or share screen does not work in Microsoft Teams. I can see the video clearly, but others can't and they cannot see the content when I share my screen.
It works perfectly when I tether from my phone cellular data or if I plug my internet service provider modem/router in. I'm with Optus in Australia.
I have already:
*Disabled Video conferencing as a preferred activity (when I enable this setting, I also get the issue of my nest doorbell live feed disabling!)
* Enabled Wi-Fi protected access 3
* DNS set to my ISP
* Tried multiple computers - same issue with each one - video and sharing doesn't work when google wifi is used
I'm thinking of giving up and getting another router/mesh system because I really need teams when I work from home.
Are there any other suggestions to fix this issue? I'm thinking it has to be a Google Wifi issue if my ISP modem or tethering works perfectly.

Is Nest Wifi connected directly to your incoming internet line or is it connected to your ISP modem/router combo?

Hi David. Thanks for responding. Nest wifi is plugged in directly to the incoming internet line.
I had network stability issues when I used nest wifi connected to the isp modem router combo.

Has it ever worked when you use Nest Wifi?
Do you have any DHCP reservations or port forwarding rules created?

Hi David
It never worked with Nest Wifi unfortunately
No DHCP reservations or port forwarding rules are in place

Hi all - My work IT team seems to think that Google Wifi might be blocking particular ports that MS teams uses for video and screen sharing. Is it possible to get port details that I can configure in google wifi that may open these ports?

Hi asebalj,
Thanks for the update. You will need to assign a static IP and then set new port forwarding rules. Here’s how:
Change your DHCP settings
Note: You may need to disconnect this device from your Wi-Fi network and reconnect it before it is assigned the reserved IP.
Set up port forwarding or port opening
You can check the ports required for Microsoft Teams here. Let us know if you have any other questions and we’ll be happy to help out.
Best,
Abi

Hi Abigail - I tried to set up the forwarding but don't think I did it correctly. Have met with my work IT team and they assisted. Will give it another try tomorrow and I'll let you know if it works! thanks again for the detailed explaination.

Hello. I've set up the ip address and port forwarding rules as per the info given but my screen share or video still doesn't work. Have I set it up correctly or are there any other solutions?
