I need to change my WAN option ... To avoid double nat I would like to connect via ppoe the nest wifi pro. The problem is that the app says that to change the setting I have to disconnect the ethernet of my main router, wait for the yellow light and connect... However, when I do this, the google home app is not able to connect to the modem so I can't change the settings... How do I solve this?

Hi @FiorenzoDV
The Nest Wifi Pro supports PPPoE. But requires the latest firmware as it had some known issues with the first firmware versions. 🙂
Did you check the steps described HERE?

Please don't answer just to answer because you just make people nervous. Yes, I said I did the procedure but when I follow it then the app stops working because it is not connected to the internet. So I just can't connect to the google nest wifi pro settings . Searching on reddit I am not the only one with this problem.

Hi @FiorenzoDV
Not sure why you should be nervous because of my reply. 🙄
Just letting you know that a firmware upgrade could fix your issues and that it PPPoE is supported.
If you connect it at home you could try it somewhere else but I understand that is not ideal.

Hi @FiorenzoDV
Sounds like a bug with the Google Home app. 🙄
Found a Reddit topic that resolved it by using another (in this case iPad) device to try the settings. So if this is an option maybe worth a try.
Another option is trying the preview option in the Google Home app if you have the ability.
