Nest Point can’t connect

Jackjack86

Hi There,

I notice my nest mesh point was not connected to the Internet. So I tried to reset and forget on my Google Home app.

however, after that, it was reset and named to its default name I supposed.

afterwhich, I add the device again and tried to connect it. But it got stuck at the wifi step where I was prompted to enter password to connect to my nest mesh point. But I do not have a password for it.

Thus, I’m unable to setup this point in my bedroom. Would anyone assist me on this soon? Thank you

Hi, @Jackjack86,

Thank you so much for posting in the community. I'm truly sorry that your Google Nest Mesh point cannot be added to the Google Home app. I'm happy to assist you in finding a solution.

To better assist you, please let me know:

In the meantime, please try the following steps:

Set up the device on the Google Home app:

  • On your phone or tablet, open the Home app.
  • Tap Devices, then Add, and then Google Nest or partner device.
  • Choose a home.
  • The app should find your Google WiFi device. Tap Yes to continue. If you have multiple devices available for setup, select your primary WiFi point.
  • Scan the QR code on the bottom of your device.
  • Give your Wi-Fi network a name and secure password (you can use any name and password of your choice).
  • Select a room for your router or create a new one.
  • Continue through the app to complete setup.
  • The router should now create your Wi-Fi network. This might take a few minutes.

Feel free to ask any questions you might have along the way.

Best regards,

Ana
