Nest Router goes into setup mode after adding 4th Point

I’ve had the nest Wi-Fi platform operating without issue for quite awhile now.  It’s the 3 pack (1 router and 2 points) and then I added another point awhile back - all running pretty much without a hiccup for the last year.  I recently purchased another point and added the device and then lost all connectivity - Wi-Fi up , connection to internet down.  After much checking the router has for some reason gone offline and into setup mode (white pulsing light) - this means you basically have to build your network backup from scratch again (which I did) and have now been able to recreate the exact same result - network is fine with 3 points, adding the 4th point causes the router to go into setup mode (and all connectivity of course gone) - anyone seen or heard of this issue?

Some general guidance:

In short:

  • Too many units in too tight space hurts performance, due to inteference and added overhead.
  • The main unit should be in the center of all the other units / your house, because one should have as few jumps between the main unit and your wireless devices as possible.
