Hi
I've just purchased a Google Nest WiFi 3 Pack. Where do I find the default password to connect to that WiFi network? It's nowhere to be found. I need to change the IP settings in the Nest to match those of my network (from a 192. address to a 10. address)
The Google home app on IOS finds the device, but won't go any further connecting to the internet because of the different IP range and subnet etc. I'm not particularly 'tech stupid' but this has me stumped. And, as I said, I can not find any mention of a password in any of the packaging etc. Is there a default IP address to access the Nest router via a browser (like most routers)?
Regards
John

Hello @JohnVK5JAK
It's not entirely clear what your configuration is at this point, but I'll try to provide a few tips that may help illuminate. The Nest WiFi system is managed via the Google Home app. There is no other way to configure or manage it. When you set it up to start with, it will have asked you for the shared password to use for clients to connect. You can see that password again in the Google Home app.
From the Google Home app you can also change the IP address range the system uses for the new network it creates. You can use 10.x for that instead of 192.168.x if you prefer. However, since Nest WiFi is a router and a firewall it is creating a new "inner" network separate from the "outer" network it is connected to. So, if your outer network is already on 10.x, you can't configure Nest WiFi to use the same IP address range for its inner network.
I hope some of this was helpful.
