Hello everyone,

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry for this experience.

A few questions: when did this issue start? Were there changes to your network settings? What's your Internet service provider? Are you using a modem-router combo? Is there a switch on your network?

Go ahead and give the steps below a try:

  • Ensure that there is minimal to no interference (concrete, bulletproof glass, metal, mirror, etc.) and that the Wifi points are no more than two rooms apart.
  • Change your Wi-Fi password and make sure it doesn’t contain spaces or special characters.
  • Check for VLAN tagging and try to turn it off if you have it enabled.
  • Change your DNS servers to 8.8.8.8 on your primary servers and 8.8.4.4 on your secondary servers.
  • Unplug the power from your modem and Google Nest Wifi devices for 2 minutes.
  • If you're using a modem/router combo, set it to bridge mode to avoid double NAT issues.
  • If the issue persists, try factory resetting your network. Take note that this will remove all network data.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,
Lovely

Hey all,

@TJIss, I appreciate the update! I'm glad that moving the placement of the Wifi devices resolved your issue. Feel free to let me know if you have additional questions or concerns.

@Estauter, I want to check if you still need help. Please tell me so I can lend a helping hand.

Sincerely,
Lovely

Hi folks,

Have you both tried the troubleshooting steps that I suggested above? Let me know if that did the trick or not, so we can try something else.

Cheers,
Lovely

thanks for the info.  While my mesh connection was "good" it apparently wasn't good enough.  I changed the location until I had a great connection and haven't had problems since.
