Nest WiFi nightmare after storm

We had a storm today so my ISP (spectrum)  went down. But I have a backup thru Verizon cellular internet. Tried connecting my google WiFi router and 4 points to the Verizon system and keep getting the error that it’s not connected to the internet. My Verizon (cellular) modem is most certainly internet connected because it’s also wireless and I can connect directly to it. But my Google mesh is a no go. I’ve deleted all nest routers and points from the Google home app and also found an option to delete any remembered network settings and still I can’t add back the router, which I’ve reset every which way, without getting the error message that there’s no internet connection. 

any help would be welcome!!

I want to check if you connected an Ethernet cable to your Verizon and to your Google Nest Wifi router. If you did, please share with me the LED status of your device.
