Nest Wifi Mesh Not working after new modem installed

I recently purchased an Arris Model 33 Modem.  I have a two year old Google Mesh Wi Fi Router Model H2D.  I thought I would just plug the white ethernet cable into the back of my router and be returned to a world of 24 hour internet pleasure but NONE of my remote devices is getting the internet anymore, so no streaming of video or music.  What am I doing wrong.  I've tried unplugging.  I've tried turning everything off.  What else can I try?

Thank you so much for the troubleshooting steps you have taken so far. 

To confirm, could you please let me know if your devices are able to connect to the internet when you use your previous modem? 

Additionally, since you are installing a new modem, you need to reset your Google mesh router to default settings and set up the device on the Google Home app again.
