I'm just curious if anyone that has had issues with their Nest Wifi Pro has been able to find a resolution in performance. We are able to get 600+ mbps when near the primary router connected to the modem. However, when using a device that's connected to an access point (that's only ~30 feet away with no walls between), I'm only receiving 100mbps if I'm lucky. Prior to a restart this morning my computer was only getting 12mbps, which is ridiculous when paying for 1.2gbps.
Any suggestions are appreciated to avoid swapping for an eero or orbi or the like!

30 feet is a pretty big distance......Repositioning your nodes is all I can suggest also you won't exceed 1 gigbit/s on google wifi pro...because the port for the ethernet is only 1 gigbit.
You will not hit that 1.2 gigbits you're paying for on Wifi in a normal consumer enviornment consistantly maybe in a lab it would hit that but not in real life. I'd highly suggest going with a cheaper plan thru your ISP at max 1 gigbit because that .2 gigbits of extra bandwidth you paid an extra 10 -20 dolllars for is not worth it in my opinion.
This may change down the road if they make a revision to the hardware and put a 2.5 gbps port in which would be essentially just adding a node to your network to support that but as of now...yep 1 gbps is as fast as it goes from the internet to your router.

30 feet was a random guess, but they're essentially adjacent rooms in open concept main area, so nothing interfering with signal. FWIW the mesh test is always "Great" between all 3 devices.
And of course, not expecting 1gbps, but would expect more than the 15-100mbps I was registering yesterday! 😅 Great connection at main router, but not so when connected to one of the others.

Hmmm, what do your settings look like, do you have IPv6 as well as 160 MHz setting enabled? You can find these under the advanced settings in the Wi-Fi section of the home app.
Also, for your ISP...are you bridging with their gateway or using your own hardware as a modem?

I actually don't have either enabled! Only WPA3. I guess I was deterred by the "some devices are not compatible" disclaimer, but it's probably worth a try.
Currently using our own gateway, Nighthawk CM2000. Running speed test (via the app) shows 711/44. Sometimes I wonder if I have too many points for our size home as well. 😅

I would say stick away from WPA3 at this time. WPA2 is still strong. WPA3 I believe is focused on securing IOT devices.
Now the nighthawk is not a two and one solution is it AKA router and modem and one box?
Ensure that that hardware is configured in Bridge mode and the router functionality of it is disabled. Also check the firmware of it and make sure that is up-to-date. If you do decide to do an update duo so over ethernet direct connection do not do not do not do so over Wi-Fi.
When you boot up the system, so one piece of equipment at a time.
Modem first no ETHERNET plugged in. Do it the slow and by the book way.
I suggest you factory reset your Google WiFi For good measure. Starting with one point and working your way towards two and three. Do not overcrowd the units they work less efficiently If there are too many, and if they are too close together.
