Hello my nest protect will no longer connect to the internet and just keeps announcing that there is smoke in the kitchen over and over again. I’ve done a factory reset and tried to reinstall the product but the WiFi will not connect. Anyone have a fix?

Hi Nery. I will give it a try, however when I try to do anything the false alarm takes over - even when I’m trying to reset. And yes nest is constantly saying “be aware there is smoke in the kitchen …” while flashing orange. I’ll try to run the test

Oh and it’s been happening for about 2 months

Hi Silverpalm,
Thanks for your reply!
I see, so the Nest Protect has continued to announce the presence of smoke in the kitchen since two months ago, even though there's no smoke. Is there any other Nest Protect in the kitchen? Have you made sure that there is no smoke that is waking up the Protect?
If you haven't identified a cause, it's important to call emergency services. Smoke inhalation can be dangerous, and a professional evaluation is important.
